He had a great game prior to getting hurt. I do not see anyone talking about that. That is defintiely a positive thing that came out of this. He only received a slight sprain so hopefully next week we will have him back. I was VERY impressed with his performance.

Yeah except that I think he proved that you have to be willing to give up Chad the KR to get Chad the every down back.

He did show signs of great promise out there.... he also showed that he's one of the smallest players in the league.

I've been a Chad Morton fan ever since I saw him at training camp. Too bad he's not a little bigger...cuz I would love for him to be our #1 RB!!!

Patrick Johnson did fairly well after Chad went down returning kicks.

people.............chad ain't no runningback! He's too small. We had a runningback, remember? #48, "big country", Stephen Davis? I hate to keep bringing it up, BUT, you can't get rid of your runningback and say week in week out, "we need to run the ball". This organization is looking every bit of stupid right now.

We actually replaced him with some great running backs that went well with our system. They are injured right now but the very easily could have been Davis as well and we'd be in the same situation. Betts and Canidate have proven their worth. We just need them healthy. I guess I didn't clarify but Chad filled in well. As far as Johnson goes. He did well with one exception where he dropped the ball on the return. I was actually cringing and thinking "not again with special teams"

Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked

What system????? Where are they at now??? What do we do next?? You guys really need to look at the big picture and stop making up excuses for this so called "System". Why do we get rid of Davis and then try to run these small backs up the "GD" middle. We do no screens with them, no dump off, WTF. Tell me how they suppose to fit into the "system"

There is a diffrence between a fan and someone who knows football.

Small runningback aint "S" and we lost another one yesterday. That makes three. How many more do we have left???

"System" an organized integrated whole made up of diverse but interrelated and interdependent parts :ROTFALMAO: :ROTFALMAO: :ROTFALMAO: :ROTFALMAO: Thumbs Up

While agree with everything about the 'system', it has very little to do with why SD is or isn't here.

If joe Gibbs and the Hogs themselves came back to Washington, Stephen STILL wouldn't have been part of the equation because we would have had to pay him 11 MILLION DOLLARS out of our $75 mil... that's about 15% of your cap on one player.

We COULD NOT AFFORD it. What was best for the system, never really came into it, though it's a good thing to add in the press to try and soften the blow on how stupid previous CAPONOMICS had been to get to that point.

I never claimed to be an expert. I actually told you guys when I first got here that I was exactly the opposite. Perhaps system was the wrong word. But I didn't see you posting this stuff when we were winning and Canidate and Betts were actually making the run work. There is no need to get that way. I didn't realize you had to "know football" to have an opinion. I guess I will not post my opinion any more if this is how it goes around here. I am a fan. That is why I'm trying to hold on to hope! Obviosly your hope is now starting with Carolina.

Buddy Very Happy

I do beleive that Davis was willing to redo his contract. We got rid of Davis so we could D Gardner. :ROTFALMAO: Oh well, he long gone now. W

Actually, Davis wouldn't rework his contract lower that much, which is why I kind of chuckle when I see he is playing for a mil at Carolina. Shows what real loyalty he had. Gardener was offered good money and chose to take more at Denver.

I have repeatedly said we couldn't afford the greedy bastiches....

I think Trung and Ladell were doing fine in as far as the system, or lack thereof, allowed them. Morton was good, but not durable enough for twenty to thirty carries.
