There's a manhunt underway for a Mississippi man who's accused of abducting a mother from Tennessee and her three daughters. The suspect has been close to the family for years, and is now linked to two suspicious deaths.

Police are searching for 35-year-old Adam Mayes as they investigate the disappearance of Jo Ann Bain and her daughters.

They were last seen ten days ago at their home in Hardeman County, Tennessee which police searched again on Sunday. Hayes was a family friend who is described as being like an uncle to the girls: 8-year-old Kyliyah, 12-year-old Alexandria, and 14-year-old Adrienne.

Late last week, police found the bodies of two unidentified people inside a home near Guntown, Mississippi that's linked to Mayes. Investigators will not say if the bodies were children.

Neighbors are praying for the victims, and urging Mayes to come forward. Tiffany Watkins with Grace Point Church says, "Let us know where the kids are, let us know where that mom is."

Police say Jo Ann Bain's husband was getting ready to move the family to Arizona when they all disappeared. Authorities are still trying to determine if Jo Ann went willingly.

Police have issued an amber alert and they warn that the suspect is "armed and extremely dangerous." Neighbor Lewis Grimes says, "This is a pretty quiet community, nothing serious has ever happened around here. So it's a pretty rough situation."

Investigators say Mayes may have changed his appearance, or even cut and dyed the girls' hair to disguise their identities.

There's a $50,000 reward for any information that leads to the Bain family, and Mayes' arrest. Mayes was last seen in Mississippi, but he also has ties to Arizona, Texas, the Carolinas, and Florida

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WTVA) -- The Memphis branch of the Federal Bureau of Investigation says the bodies found behind a home in Alpine were that of a missing mother and her oldest daughter.

Jo Ann Bain and Adrienne Bain were first reported missing from Hardeman County, Tenn., on April 27. The Associated Press reports the disappearance took place as the family was preparing to move to Arizona.

Also reported missing were Jo Ann Bain's two youngest daughters, Alexandria and Kyliyah.

The FBI says it's believed those two are with 35-year-old Adam Mayes, who was a longtime friend of Bain's husband, according to the Associated Press.

The AP reports Mayes had stayed the night at the family's house to help them pack for the move. When husband Gary Bain awoke the next morning, he found his wife, daughters and Mayes gone.

Mayes is being sought by law enforcement in connection with the kidnapping of the Bains.

Law enforcement says the bodies were discovered in the backyard of Mayes' last known residence in the Alpine community.

Mayes may have altered his appearance and the appearance of the two girls.

The FBI has also released two aliases he may be using, Christopher Zachery Wylde or Paco Rodrigass.

He's still considered armed, extremely dangerous and remains at large.
