| Let's simplify things. Smith revolutioned the position of TE. That qualifies him for the HOF. |

Not true that Francis was better than Smith-- check stats, my memory, ect. Also not true that he was omitted because he was gay. He was omitted because he was a Redskin, a team too little respected over the years. Think of Larry Brown. His exclusion, so far, is a cloud over the whole HOF process. There are also many other Redskins who have been dismissed with prejudice, as has been pointed out. |
