LaRon Landry will start training camp on the PUP list

The Jets announced Monday that Landry is one of four players they have placed on the physically-unable-to-perform list as they prepare to head up to Cortland for camp. Landry did not take part in OTAs or minicamp after signing with the Jets as a free agent, raising concerns about the Achilles injury that limited him with the Redskins. Washington doctors wanted Landry to have surgery, something he has resisted and his condition was questionable enough that the Jets build protections against injury into his contract. The Jets haven’t made a big deal about his absence and, as mentioned, Landry insists he’ll be fine when the bell rings. |
