You'd be surprised how close to reality that commentary was!!!
We have some dynamite commentators for Irish games though. Here's a clip of Dublin's goal against Kerry in last year's All Ireland Football Final.

Yep, a sport played almost exclusively by one nation, and the largest sport in that nation. A concept that couldn't be understood by an American........oh no, wait.........
Frankly, I have no idea what's going on in Gaelic Football - and I think that's the case for 70% of the people playing it  |

The funny thing is that they actually pay a referee, giving the impression that there are some rules!!!!
There are actually three rules in total:
(1) 3 points for a goal (in the net)
(2) 1 point for an over (over the bar)
(3) Do what the hell you like to anyone who gets in your way!!
Simple but effective!!!
Joking aside, it's extremely skillful and very demanding physically. |
