Jints, Jim Are Done
New York Post columnist Steve Serby: "The Giants ran Jim Fassel out of town yesterday. They didn't block and they didn't tackle and they didn't play smart or tough and they didn't play with fire or desperation or swagger and they basically looked like a team that can't wait for the season to end."

Season is a goner, and so is McGinnis
Arizona Republic columnist Dan Bickley: "Bloody garments littered the floor. Silent players gathered their belongings in shame. Off in the corner stood a dazed head coach, now known as Dead Mac Walking."

Williams' era sinks to yet another new low point
Buffalo News columnist Jerry Sullivan: "Boy, it's a good thing the Bills didn't fire head coach Gregg Williams and offensive coordinator Kevin Gilbride over the bye week. What was I thinking?"

As the season winds down, the papers really start to go after any coaches on the hot seat. There are several columnists who seem bent on running coaches out of town.

There were quite a few Spurrier rumors going around a week or two ago, but nothing since.
