Anybody want AA back?

I'd be interested to see who gets the boot if they put in another claim on AA.
Per our old friend Ryan O’Halloran, who is now reporting on the Jaguars for the Florida Times-Union, former Redskins receiver Anthony Armstrong has been released by Jacksonville.
The Redskins released Armstrong after two years with the team during the last cuts in August. He signed with the Dolphins but they released him on Oct. 30. There were some rumors that the Redskins put in a claim on him but the Jaguars had priority because they have a worse record than Washington.
If the Redskins wanted him back two weeks ago it stands to reason that they might still want him. Exactly when Armstrong was released is unclear (the Jags played last Thursday night) to team will have either from today at 4 p.m. or the same time on Tuesday to put in a claim on him.
If they do claim Armstrong, the primary candidate to be released would be receiver Dez Briscoe, who has a few dropped passes in limited opportunities. One advantage Armstrong might have is that he plays special teams while Briscoe does not. A rash of injuries this year has forced many special-teams stalwarts into increased roles on offense or defense and the team may be looking to get someone who can lighten the load on them.

I think it would be a great move ... I thought it was a major error to release him in the first place, while keeping Briscoe and Robinson, both unproven entities.
Armstrong is one of those mystery players who seem to have great potential (2010 he had very decent numbers and was a significant deep threat) but something seems to impede his playing time. I think an RG3 to Armstrong combination would be a powerful connection given AA's proven ability to beat coverage deep.
With Garcon out, Armstrong would fill a gap there quite well, I believe.

If Garcopn is not going to be able to make a return at all in 2012, signing AA would be a good move.

He's been cut by two teams who have no receivers. No thanks.

I don't know if bringing AAA back would really lead to a tremendous improvement in our WR corps. If Garcon is to basically be lost for the rest of the season....then why not as AAA already knows our system, and maybe he will be a WR that can develop a rapport with RGIII. But.....Briscoe and Robinson beat him out for the job in preseason.....so I personally would not cut either of those to make room for AAA.
