Hognostication over the Hognostications:

It is still among the top 3 but I think Tribe wins this competition this year.

I hope the top posters make a desperate choice of upsets and they backfire.

Twisted Evil

I am playing for a good seed and a bye in the playoffs.

Pray

I know I did not win but I do not know who won! Shocked

I am quite happy with a BYE in the first round of the THN playoffs. Laughing

The bogus tie-breaker ESPN uses makes ACW the champ, I think. He had the better week 17. Personally, I think the tie-breaker should go by who was closer to the total of the weekly tie-breaker scores. I'll leave it to one of those two to tally that up, though. I'm still sick about changing my pick in the G-strings/Ravens game last week.

Which is why I asked this a few weeks ago:

By the way ... chances are that two or more players may end up tied at the top in the end. Do we have a tie break agreed among ourselves this year? Anxious

The site does it automatically by your MNF score predictions. The three in frist place right now are in alphabetical order, because the Monday night game hasn't been played. On Tuesday, the pick grid will show the winners for the week with the tie-breaker in play. Wednesday-Thursday the grid is in season order reflecting the season-long tally of the tie-breaks. Even though it may say you're in first place, if another Hognosticator is listed above you, it is because he owns the season tie-break over you.

What happened to this?

Tiebreaker #1 - Higher number of points scored for Week 17
Tiebreaker #2 - Higher number of points scored for Week 16
Tiebreaker #3 - Higher number of points scored for Week 15
Tiebreaker #4 - Higher number of points scored for Week 14
Tiebreaker #5 - Higher number of points scored for Week 13
Tiebreakers will continue backwards from week thirteen (13) until week one (1).

There's a rule that bars first year posters from fancy avatars...

It's called:
Nananana boo Booo!

Seriously tho, this year of hognostications sucked. Espn sucked.

It's a draw, you can add it to your Sig, but who'd want a charity avatar in a season that most gave up on or didn't even join? I know it wasn't like previous years, and as a trial year: it failed.

Congrats tho Twisted Evil

Do not speak for others. You did not do well but such is life.

Most of their picks were worse than ours but a couple were better.

Ok.
I think my point was taken wrong...

I was reffering to it as a whole, not the picks them selves. I should have went further to say: having it run offsite destroyed the friendly banter and comradery that was there previously. It wasn't as fun, and people like myself didn't get as into it.
That said, I had a terrible start... Made even worse picks to try and catch up then dropped out. Has nothing to do with how I felt about the new "system" however.

Also- ESPN as a site to run the hognostications was crappy... Offsite isn't my choice compared to how it was, but ESPN would be far from my second choice too. Y! Probably the best if it stays off site.

Maybe I'm in the minority, but this season wasn't as fun or competitive... No hogsblogs breakdown.. maybe its first year growing pains, but I won't be doing it if its ESPN again.

And not to discredit the champ(s), but I don't see the victory holding as much merit as previous victors. How much people even completed the season?
