From a political science perspective, Alfred Morris being added to the ticket is deserved and all, but it puts RG3 in a really bad position.
Alfred Morris is actually going to split the vote between Skins fans. Towards the end of the year, people got on the Morris bandwagon. with RG3 ending his season in "tragedy", it will give people more incentive to vote for Morris.
Not a conspiracy theorist by ANY means (I laugh at folks like that), but it seems that every time the Skins start doing well or have the threat of doing well, people start bringing trouble to their door. Not saying this is the case, just seems ironic that there's a vote split involved last minute. |

The ONLY thing that matters is that we know who the NFL rookie of the year is
it's a little like the Pro Bowl - it does not really recognize the best of the best
soooo - The Rookie of the year is ... Robert Griffin III
CONGRATULATIONS
now nobody needs to vote anymore - it's a done deal |

| I voted Morris. No way we went to the playoffs without him this year. The end of the year Dallas game gave me enough incentive to think Morris should win it. |

Not a bad choice - actually to be fair I should have disclosed that the Redskins' players Robert Griffin III and Alfred Morris fished 1 and 2 in the final ballot
thanks for voting - the decision has been made

not as far as this site is concerned - we have finished - RG3 is the winner
the other voting deal is a popularity contest JUST LIKE the Pro Bowl 'voting'
IT is NOT at all objective - many times the best player is left out - Tom Brady & London Fletcher
this was easy - Robert Griffin III is the NFL Rookie of the year |

I FULLY understand that 'the' ROY award has not been really decided but ...
Has any other rookie won the Rookie of the week OR the Rookie of the month ... MORE than RG3
I'm sorry - if he's not Rookie of the year, you'd really have to look at the 'voting'
end of rant |

| Russ Wilson is the new golden boy of the rookies. I wouldn't be surprised if he won. |

No question - Russell Wilson played great
just a question - did he win more ROW or ROM awards than RG3?
now If he did not then how can he be considered ROY
ROY HAS TO BE
Robert Griffin III
Alfred Morris / Andrew Luck
then Russell Wilson
anything else is a travesty BUT not a surprise |

You can say he "has to be ROY" all you want, that doesn't guarantee a win. The fact that we lost to Seattle will make a lot of people think Russell Wilson is the better QB, which is stupid, but it's going to happen. |

There's no "Win" involved
this is a fact - who had the better season?
how many weeks did Russell Wilson have better weeks as QB than RG3
OR
how many Rookie of the weeks did Russell Wilson win?
please get back to us ...
the Rookie of the year is the rookie who had the better season - 16 games - not the last 1, ALL 16 games |

Agreed. People have a short memory. RGIII's full season of work is clearly superior, IMHO. At one point Wilson went almost an entire game without completing a pass beyond the line of scrimmage. He had very pedestrian numbers until half the season had gone. Midway through the year RGIII and Luck were the only contenders. Then Luck really dropped off in quality.
But as you point out, people don't think that way. The fact that Wilson won their "matchup" will probably give him the edge he needs. Oh well. |

Yeah Wilson might end up stealing it but it really means nothing in the end. I can't see straight on the issue anyway; I've been way too biased against Wilson all year.
RG3 gets hit: "Oh come on that's not necessary; you don't have to hit him that hard!!"
Wilson runs the ball: "KILL HIM!!! KILL HIM!! MAKE HIM BLEEEEEEED!!!" |
