I'd put Helu ahead of Royster. I think Helu & Thomas are the 3rd down backs

Carriker will be on PUP
Jackson is still suspended.

Honestly...I think we are a much deeper team than we were this time last year. This time last year we were still worrying about who was gonna run the ball or play safety or this and that. Going into this year, we are looking at who doesn't make the 53 man roster bc we just don't have enough spots for all the talent. Our WRs are deeper than people give us credit for and I hope this year is the year Hank and Aldrick break out. Garcon has to stay healthy in order for the rest of them to produce. Our secondary got 100 times better since last year. And if people disagree, well just watch. Rambo and Philip Thomas will be monsters. I hope Meriweather stays healthy, bc when he is healthy....he shows glimpses of how Sean Taylor played (when Taylor was in middle school). I'm predicting a great year from us this year. Critics have been doubting us and saying that we only won the East bc that 7 game win streak we got a lot of luck. Well I disagree, bc we should have won other games throughout the season but we had incredibly BAD luck and a huge injury bug that surely can't happen 2 years in a row. I'm pumped for this season and I'm more confident in this team than I have ever been. HTTR!!!

+1 - in a couple of years we have gone from hoping we had the players to having a roster that a number of good players will not be a part of

This roster combined with a really good coaching staff is going to provide us with a team that will be very difficult to beat

we have some areas of concern but we are going to be better than last season :D
The Redskins need to change to improve - we need a better GM and we need to do a better job of who we bring in to coach and play here - players and coaches need to be held accountable when they do not do their jobs well

Man, I know Shanny loves Donte Stallworth, but I really hope one of these younger guys blows him out of camp this summer.

that's what we need - a roster full of guys determined to prove that they are the best fit for what this team needs

Shanahan loves players that have the drive and desire to do better - everyone gets the opportunity, those that make the roster will have earned it

Regardless of what happens, the best man will play. That's good to know.

Definitely. And no offense meant to Stallworth. I'd just love to see one of these young guys turn into a real player for us.

Released by 'Skins:

RICHMOND – The Washington Redskins have released their first official depth chart in advance of their preseason opener in Nashville on Thursday.

The depth chart, which is subject to change at any time, revealed no surprises.

Free safety Bacarri Rambo is the only rookie listed as a starter, although fellow 2013 draft pick David Amerson (listed as second-team right corner) works with the first team frequently. And, E.J. Biggers is listed as second-team left cornerback behind DeAngelo Hall, but Amerson has gotten first-team snaps ahead of Biggers with Hall sidelined.

Robert Griffin III is listed as the starter at quarterback, although Kirk Cousins runs the first team in all 11-on-11 drills.

Veteran wide receiver Santana Moss is listed as third string, at the ‘Z’ position behind Josh Morgan and Leonard Hankerson. But if the team had listed a slot receiver separately, Moss would have ranked first on the depth chart.

Jarvis Jenkins is listed as starting left defensive end, but with him facing a four-game suspension at the start of the season, Kedric Golston (listed as second-team right end) has gotten the bulk of the first-team snaps at that position ahead of Chris Baker (listed as second-team left end).

I don't think you need to worry about Stallworth. We are probably carrying 4 Tight Ends this season--which likely means only 5 WRs will make the 53. I think those 5 are: Garcon, Morgan, Hankerson, Moss, & Robinson.

Stallworth is the kind of guy that you can release and probably pick up later in the year if you have an emergency at the WR position.

Sometimes I feel like at least 50% of Rex's value to us comes from keeping him off the Cowboys, Eagles, and Giants.
