Our D has given up over a thousand yards in two games.

You're right! Let's hang it up. We suck.
Not throwing in the towel by a long shot. But we can't just ignore the problems we've seen in the first two weeks and hope they go away.

Of course we can't - you're exactly right!

RG3 1st half numbers thru two games: 11/24, 160 yds, 0 TDs, 2 Int, 33.3 rating.
2nd half: 45/65, 489 yds, 5 TDs, 1 INT, 110.4 rtg
Whatever is being done in the 2nd half that isn't being done in the first half we need to change it up.

IMO, the opposing defense is playing soft in the 2nd half. They're up by 21 points. Why continue to blitz and give up a big play when you can keep everything in front of you??
That's exactly what's happening if you ask me.

Then I guess we'll have to let the other team destroy us in the first half to replicate the success of Griffin in the 2nd. The opposing D is laying off and playing soft in the 2nd half of both games because the game was well in their favor at halftime.

Oh no question about the defense basically playing prevent the 2nd half. The biggest issue I think is that if the offense doesn't get anything going on their first series or two we don't stand a chance. Saw on TV that in both games, our first 8 series led to ZERO points. Opposing teams are both scoring in the 20's. That means that neither the offense or defense is doing their job.

2 things to point out...
1. We don't know how the defense would perform if they were given a chance to rest.
2. We don't know how the offense is affecting the defensive gameplan. Haz is at his best when he can blitz and cause havoc. You can't take those risks when your offense CAN'T GET A THIRD DOWN IN ONE HALF OF FOOTBALL!!! (Those caps weren't aimed at u, just frustration at the offense.)
We cannot say that the defense would perform this poorly if the offense could contribute to the football game. Would it be perfect? Nope, far from it. But we'd surely have more sacks and int's. Look at how the defense treated Aaron when they were fresh. They were all over him! Thats what we can expect IF the offense holds up it's end of the bargain.

This is the exact same thing I was saying during yesterday's game. Our defense looked horrible, but what do you expect when your offense performs poorly and has the D keep trotting right back out there on the field without any rest?

This is all very chicken and egg.
