Hognostication Playoffs 2014 - Hognosti-Bowl IX

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Redskin relevance.

Hognostication Playoffs 2014 - Hognosti-Bowl IX

Postby Deadskins » Mon Jan 20, 2014 12:49 pm

Well, Countertrey and Deadskins made it to the big game, although they took vastly different roads to get there. CT coasted through the playoffs against sub-par opposition, while Deadskins downed the cream of the Hognosticating crop in nail-biters that were up in the air until the final whistle. Since Deadskins made it this far, he will now turn over the reins of commissionership to Irn-Bru. Both contestants will blindly submit their pick and point total to I-B in a PM, and once both choices are in (and are different), I-B will post them here. Once posted, the picks are locked. In the unlikely event of a tie (both picked the same team, and the final score falls evenly between their point totals) the winner will be the one who picked the lower score total. Picks are due by Friday the 24th at noon EST, to give everyone plenty of time to trash talk.

Congratulations to both of these winners, and good luck.

He's the best. Don't you open your mouth about the best, or I'm going to shut it for you real quick. THN!

This is a tough call. I keep going back and forth. I've settled on a point total, but I still don't know which team I'm going with. :hmm:

Don't worry... you have until the end of March to make your decision...

Big congrats to Countertrey - way to go and all the best for the HB ...

no worries with this one ... :D
The Redskins need to have a plan for how to put a product on the field that will be consistently competitive and they need to stick with that plan - it's taken years to become as bad as we are and it will be years getting out of it

Thanks!

and, hey... reminder to DS (that would be Deadskins, not Dan Snyder): You only have like another 10 weeks to get your picks in...

I have set an alarm for you...

You could also use this Autopick button, if it's causing stress...

I guess we're just waiting on Irn-Bru now. That is, assuming you got your pick in on time. I was going to wait until March like you suggested, but I couldn't let you go unopposed for a fourth straight time.

I look forward to the pick from the dead ... there's a reason he just made the 'playoffs' ...

We have a split. Should make it interesting:

CT: Denver, 46 pts
Deadman: Seattle, Seattle, 42 pts
"Last year I thought we'd win it all. This year I know we will." - Rex Ryan, on what would become the 8-8 2011 Jets

"Dream team." - Vince Young, on what would become the 8-8 2011 Eagles
