I think we'll either draft an end in the first round. Probably Will Smith or David Pollack. In the second we'll probably get a DT. If we get a 1st rounder and third from Champ, I think we will draft a DE and DT in the first and a running back in the second because I think we will get a CB in free agency.

Don't forget who's running our draft room. I wouldn't be suprised to see no defensive draft picks.
God bless our troops and Joe Gibbs.

Yeah... better hope Troupe ain't available when it's the braintrust turn or we might end up with a TE.

While we could use a TE... we need d-line help way more!!!!!!!

how good is the Starks kid out of MD?

being a local kid, I would bet he gets a serious look

not a lot of DT's to choose from and even few DE's...that'll be the FO's excuse to shop FA's and draft offensively for that TE....from what I've seen of Winslow, he can play, but will be a talker and cost plenty

He's probably the 3rd or 4th best DT in the draft but he's considerably less touted than the top two - Vince Wilfork and Tommie Harris.

Starks will probably go late first round early second although DTs and DEs both seem to become sexier picks in round one in some drafts. Once it starts...

If the top two DTs aren't available when the Redskins pick (presumably somewhere between 8th and 12th) then they can pick Will Smith or David Pollack. I think the DTs will go before though.

don't forget Boss - depends on the sitch with Champ too - with that up in the air we don't know what is going to happen - whaddya think - they put a transitional? tag on him and don't ask as much draft pick wise for him. You think someone might move on him?

I'm not sure anyone ever used the transitional tag, do they? The franchise tag maybe, but that just causes motivation problems, if you ask me....plus you have to pay "top 5" money to Chump in that case...and IMHO I think the money could be better spent elsewhere.

Lastly, I do even think Chump would be happy with "top 5" money and would still have an attitude if we franchise him and paid him that. Which is ridiculous.
