5 pro bowlers?

Postby BossHog » Fri Dec 19, 2003 10:31 am

What a joke. 5 guys going to hawaii. Anyone who ever doubted that the Pro Bowl was anything more than a popularity contest should be ashamed.

Bailey and Arrington voted in? Samuels an alternate?

Chris has been awful all year, and he still makes it? Don't you have to play at least one solid game in the season?

We're at the top of the league for sacks allowed but 40% of our o-line makes it to Honolulu?

What a farce.

Coles and Thomas definitelt deserve their reserve roles in my opinion but the other three got there on name alone.

I personally think Bailey should bow out and Arrington should be right behind him. Samuels should be scratching his head right after he scratches his name. Coles should have been a first alternate on heart alone and Thomas was the only one who didn't give up those sacks. Moore, Dockery, Samuels, Fiore, Jansen and Friedman all let us down, but in their defense - they were all new to each other and have vastly improved since the middle of the year.

No doubt that as a unit they have improved drastically over the season.

I'm not trying to knock the 'fortunate' recipients... just saying that as a Redskin fan I KNOW that there is NO WAY these guys are the best at their position this year.

I, of course, think we should be raising hell because our all time sack leader didn't get a vote in (please note the dripping scathing biting sarcasm here).

Geez... it has to be bad.

I don't remember ever whining about a Redskin MAKING the Pro Bowl. It just seems so wrong. Surely there are left tackles and LBs that have played considerably better than Samuels and LA have.

Of course I also think that Thomas could have easily been voted and not named.
