Spurrier to Miami: A rumor, or is it real?

Postby tx_skins_fan » Mon Dec 22, 2003 4:14 pm

Chris Mortenson talked about it 2 days in a row on the ESPN NFL Sunday Countdown. The Dolphins owner has been reported as saying he would take over the contract and give the Redskins compensation for Spurrier. I searched for a newspaper link, and I found a pretty good one. Here it is:

Being down here in South Florida you here alot of talk about Ron Wolf coming here as a GM. He is a big time Spurrier advocate so who the hell knows how much weight this rumor has. All I can say is that if SS does leave...who the hell would want to take over the reigns next year? I have a feeling it will be tough to find any type of reputable coach that is willing to put up with DS and VC not to mention a team filled with alot of talent and no heart.

Hey Dan! I have an offer for ya. Just match the salary I am making right now and I'll coach the Redskins next year.

I've never been a coach...but I'll betcha 5X my salary that I get a better winning record than the ol' ball coach my first year!

Hey Venting Hog, Can I run the defense, I never coached either, but I can yell pretty loud at my TV when the Defense screws up and where Arrington Should have been. With us working together, no doubt we will take the team to the playoffs. Just give me a call when your ready to talk salary, I need atleast 35,000 a year and no less, maybe some bonus if we win more than SOS.

Yeah, can I be the new GM so I can sign everybody I've heard of?

"Mr. Kearse, will you sign my football cards?"

"Mr. Sapp, can I see your billion dollar Super Duper Bowl Ring?"

J/K :D :D :D :D

I hope we sign Kearse or Abraham and Taylor or Vincent and cut Trotter and re-sign Mitchell.
