Wow

Postby BossHog » Wed Jan 07, 2004 6:52 pm

Wow.... what a day. I'm sorry to be so quiet but I have received about 300 e-mails today and I have been fielding some press questions too.

I wasn't trying to ignore everyone... it's just been a crazy day... a crazy good day.

I think I'm going to be on WashingtonPost live tomorrow (at 2 i think) for an online chat and I hope all of my brethren here will come and support me. I'll let you know when it's finalized. Pretty exciting stuff since I think I'm going to be on right after my favorite player of all time Joe Jacoby.

Stay tuned.

Thanks HS... we've been keeping a pretty low profile while we try to build a good site, but I think we're about to take off a bit.

Thanks guys, I appreciate all the kind words. Really I do.

Sometimes it's a whole lot of work, but I can honestly say that I have never regretted a moment. I will also say that there are a lot of people that do so much to help me, that I couldn't possibly get half the stuff done.

I hope you will always tell me what you want to make this site better... 'cause that's our only goal... to build a great Redskins website. We always welcome feedback and we appreciate you coming by the site and helping us support the greatest franchise in football.

I worry about you Wingman ::grin::

I echo the kudos though, Boss. I work here in a small way, but I see the effort you put into the site from behind the scenes as we talk and I am constantly amazed at the dedication and the amount of energy you have maintained as some of the other sites have bombed out. Don't get me wrong - not cracking on them - it is hard to put the hours behind a constantly losing effort - that is why I think you deserve the kudos that much more.

Thanks Rich, and I wouldn't call your part small, but your humility doesn't surprise me.

Oh crapola - I talk a lot (yeah yeah - don't do it guys or I'll take ya to the smack forum) - you put the site together for me to talk and be opinionated :)

Maybe once we get press passes and can get to do some in depth stuff from behind the scenes then it will be a bigger part :)

I think we've earned accreditation. We have good content and it is almost alays positive. Our 200 articles in 2 seasons is probably as much or more than any fan run site, and you guys work really hard to bring that extra 'read' to our visitors.

It'll be a fine day when it happens though. As you said, just being able to do some interviews etc would just allow us to post that much more Redskin content for the masses. Help everybody bleed burgundy and gold a little deeper.

Amen Brother :)

It was kinda hard staying positive as the year ground on, though, wasn't it?

But what a start to 2004 - still on cloud 9 and you couldn't get me down if you tied a battleship to my ankle (that WOULD hurt though)

I haven't felt this hopeful in a long time - I always had to temper my statements with "Let's see what (insert coach's name here) can do with all these neat little toys."

Now we have a man who can adjust and bring a team discipline and make them detail oriented.

You wanna know when I almost cried? When one of the ex Skins (forget who...I think Schlereth) said that one thing you will see is better blocking, better discipline, better tackling.... my wife and I whooped it up and traded high fives.
