From several experts

DL
TE
RB

Sounds about like what we have been saying on here... anyone have personal faves from colleges that they are near or that they have seen? I know KJ from Tech is good, but I don't suspect that Gibbs will want a smaller fast back. I bet he will go for a larger back like a Martin or George who can get 3.5 yards per carry or better like Riggo.

He might surprise me and go for Dillon, but I dunno about that.

I still argue vehemently against Sapp. Too much money - not enough motor left for the length of contract that his money will warrant having to sign him to. It will hurt us long term.

Anyone besides me think that the Skins will trade down to stay in the top 20 and pick up 2 picks for doing so? I think we can still get a top 5 DL in the top 15-20 picks whether end or tackle - though end is shallower. I think end can be addressed in FA with Abraham and/or Kearse. That makes me salivate.... Abraham on the right, Kearse on the left, Gardener at right DT... any nominations for left DT? Who in the hell would you double team on THAT line? Bring Lavar or Trotter on a blitz and watch the corpses mount up.

That leaves us with RB - Duce? George? Martin? Dillon.... I dunno - maybe a utility back out of a later round that has size and speed and is a little unproven.

That fat puke lover from ESPN had one thing wrong... the line of Samuels, Dockery, Friedman, Thomas and Jansen definitely solidified in the second half as they learned each other. It was the second most improved part of the team next to the special teams.

Maybe we keep the fifth spot and go with Winslow, but he has an attitude that his Dad didn't, and Miami has only made that worse.

Whatcha think brother and sister Hogs?

I think we should sign DE Adewale Ogunleye from the Dolphins or Abraham. Boss told me in an e-mail that Gardener might not leave Denver. He mentioned the big cap number involved with cutting him in June. Sapp? NO WAY! The team might also look at DE Darren Howard. That copuld be a valuable and subtle signing that could pay off for us in the end. I heard Boo Williams is available. My opinion... SIGN 'EM UP! Then, to finish it off, draft Kevin Jones! Man, I can't wait.

Depending what we do in the FA market will determine the route we take in the draft...would not be surprised at all to see Gibbs trade down for more picks. I don't see him going after big name guys that will cost lot's of$$$ That's Synder MO. Gibb's MO is getting the most out of average players, case and point not many of his former Skins are in the Hall of Fame, but toghther they were a hall of fame team. N.E is the one team doing it now.

you know, i was stressing the draft and what "stupid" things might happen. but, now what ever happens, i know it will be in the best interest of our team, i'm not even worried anymore. hail joe

If we can get help on the DL in free agency, I say get that stud TE Winslow from Miami in the draft. I'd love to see him play "GIBBS" football!

Just a couple of things...

Firstly, to Jake, while the Broncos won't cut Gardener outright, they have been building a case against him for conduct detrimental to the team since he went ballistic at the IHOP. There is a good behaviour clause in his contract, that experts say is the reason the Broncos have been meticulously logging DG's problems this year. If they succeed, they would probably be able to let him go without cap catastrophe and it would be a possibility. Just wanted to clarify that for you Jake.

I would rather see us drop just 3-5 spots in the draft if we're going to deal and take whatever the bonus pick is -- which could be considerably high for how little we might move. We would still have a shot at a top DE or DT for sure, the cost of the contract would be lower, and we'd add another valuable decent pick.

i think with joes history, that will probably happen. two years ago we did the trade down and landed Ramsey. the extra pick would be nice.

I think we could see them trade down 2-3 times depending on what player they have targeted.

I can envision us picking up 2-3 more draft picks. That is the type of moves I look forward to.

If we have say, the 20th-25th pick, we can still get a great tackle and on top of that have 2-3 more picks and the 5th choice in the second round.

I dont know what team he is from but the football gurus at work were trying to think of his name.

They said he played in one of the bowl games. One guy said he had soft hands and all agreed that he would not last long because you have to go after his knees to bring him down. Very Happy

Probably will be converted to a lineman or used as a blocking tight end in the NFL

I would love for the Skin's to sign Adalius Thomas from the Ravens. He made the Pro Bowl this year as a special teamer. The Ravens played him at LB but he was a DE earlier in his career. He is also an unrestricted FA who would probably cost less than Abraham or Ogunleye.
I would also like to trade down for more picks. There will be quality DT available and maybe we could get a TE and Safety with extra picks.

Oh by the way I just recently found this site and I love it. I've been a Skin's fan since my Dad said I was in 1972.
