Lookin' around I saw another site (which will remain nameless because THEHOGS.NET will have a most excellent draft site that you should refer to as much as possible!) had the following top 10 projected draft:

1. Chargers, QB Eli Manning
2. Raiders, WR Larry Fitzgerald
3. Cardinals, QB Ben Roethlisberger
4. Giants, OT Robert Gallery
5. Redskins, DT Tommie Harris
6. Lions, S Sean Taylor
7. Falcons, DE Kenechi Udeze
8. Browns, TE Kellen Winslow, Jr.
9. Jaguars, WR Roy Williams
10. Texans, OT Shawn Andrews

Didn't like Winslow's attidude prior to having Gibbs hired.

We all know JG likes character guys... guys that show alot of heart and are all for the team. As such, I don't think this dude fits the mold.

I'm thinking that Gibbs, despite Winslow's rep, will have a really hard time passing on this monster TE. However, if he passes, I think we'll trade down.

Yeah, I think that after watching Sports Center he will shut the Hell up and catch those passes for Gibbs.

We don't need a receiver type tight-end in Joe's offense. We need a physical, blocking TE.

I still don't like Harris - he isn't big enough and you know he will lose speed bulking up..

280 is so light for a DT in the NFL... maybe in college it's ok

I do like Tommie Harris, and I think that 280 can be a good size for DT if you have another bigger DT as well. Still, I'm not sure I would pick Harris over Sean Taylor.

I also think that we should pass on KW jr. He just doesn't fit Gibbs style of play. It would be a waste to get him and not use him.

Actually I would rather see us trade down our #5 pick and pick up both Vince Wilfork (now he is NOT too small) and either Randy Starks or Dwan Edwards. Then I think our D-line will be set. If we can pick up a DE that would be great too.

Remember also that Gibbs has said that he will pick up a bunch of undrafted free agents and find the gem amongst them. There are always some great athletes who don't get all the hype that these 1st rounders get. Alot of times these first rounders wash out while the lower round players and undrafted guys stick around and contribute. Thats why I'm not as enamored with these supposed hotshots that the experts pick.

I'd be interested to see how the top twenty picks over the last few years have contributed. I bet you would find that alot of them end up doing very little.

No! Just ask Warren Sapp what happened when he went from 305 to 285 two years ago. His stats went down and he was pushed all over the place. We need some beef to take on double teams.

I want Arrington to have atleast 145 tackles this year Wink

I want Trotter to be blitzed with confidence and atleast 100 tackles.

Armstead, atleast 90 tackles

Bowen from 83 to 55

Solution?? But it aint Harris INMO Smile

I too like to have as much size in the middle as possible, which is why I would rather trade down for Wilfork than pick up Harris with the 5th pick. I didn't say that 280 was the perfect weight, I just said that it can be ok as long as you also have another DT with alot of weight.

I dont think we should use all of our first rounders on D- Linemen. D Line can be addressed to some extent, but if you like a lot of the star D Linemen in the League today, most were not first round picks. All you need in a DT in my opinion, is strength and acceleration, which is why I say to pick up strong d linemen in later rounds from smaller schools.
