The camp battle for the backup running backs looks like it's going to be good. We know Portis and Betts are one and two at running back.

Cartwright and Sellers will be the FBs. Manuel White and Nehemiah Broughton would both be kept because the can play H-back in years past but with the new scheme and limited use of a H-back they both may be gone.

Kerry Carter and Jesse Lumsden both look good but would the Skins keep both? What about Jonathan Combs, is he still on the roster?

Who do you think will make the final roster?
Lumsden, White and Broughton would all qualify for the practice squad.

Ive liked Nemo since he's been drafted BUT he hasn't shown to us why he deserves to stay. Our newly acquired Canadaian has shown that he belongs, I think my vote goes to him.

Yeah Jesse seems like a keeper after 1 week and so does Carter. What's the deal on White?

That's assuming no other team picks them up first.

I'm going with Lumsen. He just looked like he was playing his heart out on Saturday. I hope he keeps it up. It would be great to see him get a few caries this year as well for the hard work.

I believe someone told me the same, it may have been Jake.

I'm pretty sure he is a FB. Portis, Betts, Lumsden, Carter & Coombs at RB, Cartwright, Sellers, Nemo & White at FB. Will probably keep 5 total RB & FB. Since Cartwright can play either, it gives some flexibility.

Lumsden will be the #2 guy when Betts leaves after this season.

Maybe trade Betts this season?
Probably not but we have a lot of RBs.

If a back goes down somewhere else, I'm sure the Skins will gat a call after a few pre-season games and teams see the depth

At this point we have enough backs on the roster that we should think about helping out "1" of our minor league afiliates

Yeah, maybe we could bring up another promising young star to the Major League.

From the linked article:

Quote:
...Chad Pennington [said,] "I haven't seen Curtis that much. I've been going from meetings to eating back to meetings to rehab. My schedule's been so full, I haven't gotten a chance to sit down and talk to him."

The truth is, Chad is a cannibal, and he's been eating Curtis Martin bit by bit.

I sure wouldn't want a Redskin to be sent to our minor league team, only to be devoured by a rehabbing QB. Shocked

Yes, yes, another failed attempt at a joke. Thank you. Laughing
