How surprising is it that the Yankees will likely get A-Rod? To me the deal doesn't make sense -- except to be an "In your face" to Boston. Rodriquez playing third? He's a better fielding SS than Jeter.

And where will Soriano play in Texas? They've got a couple of young 2Bs that they're bringing along. Where do they put them?

And what about Theo Epstein? Won't he get ulcers over this one!

And Texas fans?

And what about Aaron Boone? PLay a liittle round ball and flush your career with the Yanks (MLB career?) down the toilet!

AND... their reportd salry # for next year... $200 million.

Next time you feel like whining about football's salary cap... ask yourself if the NFL can really afford to go the route of baseball with only a 16 game pool to draw from rather than a 162 game pool.

Fantastic move by texas though... rumor is that they're getting a whack of money too, and they're getting a helluva player in Soriano to make up for the $250M mistake they made.

At $200M the Yankees' payroll is probably as big as the entire AL central. Baseball needs the cap! Surprised

Man, I was gonna start a topic on the Yanks.

The Yankees are sick. Their lineup is just shocking. And I thought the O's were gonna have a chance! d'oh!

If I were A-Rod I would turn the $200M down, I mean - how can a guy live on that nowadays! Laughing
Now we know why Champ has been holding out for more.

Soriano has become a liability...cant hit anything with a break on it...Unless its fast and straight...sori cant hit it.

Pay-Rod is another story...that kid can hit anything.
