I know alligator have a strong grip with their teeth and jaws....
But they do have short little feet and "arms" if you will....

Have I hit the nail on the head here? I'm just not sure.

I'm pretty sure it means a player has short arms.

It means he gets short arms when he thinks he is about to get hit by a DB.
