I'd like to rest easier knowing Sean's family is taken care of financially. Does anyone have info? I know the Skins are setting up his daughter's education with $500,000, but how about immediate and other needs? Did he have career and/or other insurance? Do the Skins pay out his full contract?

He did have life insurance from the NFL, 600K I believe and his sister was the beneficiary.

Also, the Redskins are on the hook for Sean Taylor's remaining salary so I'd assume his family gets that. (Though it will more likely go to the government.)

we are on the books for the remainder of the signing bonus, which was paid out in '04. so the gov't has already gotten theirs. it was in the nieghborhood of 13 million, so, i'd say his family was 'looked after'.

Mr. 666,

I like your Glock idea of a home defense system. How about a pit bull?
