This is a player we have to take. he is explosive and big time playmaker. plus he trained with Darrell Green. we need hungry players that want to win. this is the guy.

i agrees we need a DE but we can find talent in the second. all the good ones will be taken before our pick. but this is the best pick for 21.

the WR we have to big guys on the roster already, Mix and Mcmullen. we could work them out in order for them earn a spot on the roster. so WR in the draft is not a big necessity.

OL , DE picks are most. but we need a CB to line up with Rogers.

If you think Mix & McMullen take care of our need for a big WR, then it stands to reason that Jackson, Holt, Eubanks etc can take care of our CB needs.

That is a different story, well why pay millions of dollars for a WR that might not work out. you have a guy that has alot of talent like Dominique. that i am sure the guys in washington knows alot about because of his training session with Darrell Green.

We need a big WR to fill up the # 3 spot. so it doesnt make sense to over spend on a guy that is not going to be a starter. remember we have moss and randall el and possible caldwell.

We need Depth at the WR Spot. on Corner backs we have Rogers that might not be 100% when he comes back and springs that is too old. we need to pick somebody for the future. Dominique is the guy because he is a football guy.

We need Hungry Players that want to win the bIG One. not just play in the NFL. that is the reason the Giants won the super bowl. they were hungry. maybe they were not the most talented player on paper.

We need the best player on the first pick. then fill the rest of the spots that are weak through the draft.

Wrong. We are in need of a starting receiver. ARE is being moved into the slot in Zorn's offense. Therefore we need a receiver that can start alongside Moss.

a guy from the draft wont be ready to be a starter. at least in this class of WR. there are no big time WR this year. so why waste our pick in somebody that might not contribute right away. this kid is Rodgers is a steel. we need to get him.

A CB from a small school won't be ready to sart as a rookie either.

Sorry, but that's not accurate. There are about 4-6 receivers that will be able to step in and contribute immediately this year. Malcolm Kelly, for example, has been playing in the WCO for several years now. He will contribute right away as a starter for the right team. I absolutely believe if he was put out there as the #2 alongside Moss and ARE, he would put up effective numbers as JC would go to him quite often. Check out some youtube footage of the guys skills as a possession receiver in the WCO.

Why wont a receiver from the draft be able to start? Dwayne Bowe was selected 23rd overall last year by the Chiefs and in his rookie year posted 70 catches, 995 yards, and 5 td's. Kelly and Sweed, among others, both have the ability to start for the Skins this season.

As for Rodgers-Cromartie, he is a solid prospect but he is definitely not the player that we should be taking in the first round. If we don't take a receiver then it would make a lot more sense to take Kentwan Balmer if he is available.

And why settle for Rodgers-Cromartie if you could take a better corner in Mike Jenkins with the 21st pick?
