Mel's newest mock has us taking Aqib Talib, CB out of Kansas.

Apparently Rodgers-Cromartie and McKelvin have jumped ahead of him.

I'd rather have Talib cuz you know what you're getting. He excelled at a big time school, while the other two were small schoolers. I really would prefer not to go corner but Talib is an excellent corner. Great ballhawking ability.

Mike Mayock's most recent rankings has Talib listed as the 2nd best corner in the draft. Interesting how the different experts rank them.

I'm not completely sold on taking a CB in the 1st round, even though we've recently heard Blache say that he puts a large emphasis on CB's in his scheme. But I can see us taking a CB possibly in the 2nd or perhaps with one of our two projected 3rd round picks. There are some nice CB's coming out this year.

If we pass up taking a receiver or a defensive lineman in the first round to once again spend a first round pick on a defensive back then Vinny and Danny really are as stupid as most people think. Kentwan Balmer, for example, is still on the board at 21 in Kiper's latest mock and there is absolutely no reason for us to pass on a DT of his caliber to take a corner. Even if Sweed and Kelly are gone, Devin Thomas and Hardy should both still be available as far as receivers are concerned.

There hasn't been a DT signed since free agency started on Friday, you know they'll bring one of them in and forget about adding youth. They've got to screw up sooner or later

These "experts" aren't any more accurate than we are. For that matter, flipping a coin would probably be just as good. I can't see us taking a CB early in this draft.

The latest unsubstantiated rumor has the Redskins trading away almost all of their draft picks for Chad Johnson and DeAngelo Hall.

Has anyone seen anything about this? I thought Johnson was stuck in Bungles territory.

I don't believe anything I see or hear. I just wondered if anyone else had seen or heard this drivel elsewhere. I happened across it on one of the "expert" Puke blogs.

Thank God! for a moment there I was a little concerned Laughing

I hear that Favre is just waiting for the opportunity to un-retire and be our QB - we are going to have to send Collins to the Packers as payment Laughing A few of the media present were sure that Snyder had lost his mind when he also suggested that the Redskins would offer part of the marching band ...... never mind Cool
