Dexter Manley
DE | (6'2", 282, 4.679) | WEST TEXAS A&M

Overall: Manley originally attended Santa Monica College before arriving at Oregon in 2006. During the 2006 season, he appeared in 12 games (zero starts) making eight total tackles, four tackles for loss, and three sacks. Manley missed three games due to injury at Santa Monica in 2005. He is also the son of former NFL great Dexter Manley. Manley II is a developmental prospect who doesn't play with great technique at this point. However, he is explosive enough to make an immediate impact as a situational pass rusher and strong enough to develop into an every-down player.

I doubt that he even gets drafted.

It would be a hell of a story if he even comes close to his dad, especially if it's with the Skins.

I wouldnt mind the Skins drafting him. Chances are he becomes a free agent. I sure would love it if the Skins sign him as a free agent. Give the kid a chance.

Who's getting cut to make room for a potentially undrafted rookie? While nearly everyone agrees the Skins need defensive linemen, there are only so many roster spaces available.

97 Huntley, Kevin DE 6-7 270 2
92 Evans, Demetric DE 6-3 275 7
90 Buzbee, Alex DE 6-3 265 1
99 Carter, Andre DE 6-4 252 7
93 Daniels, Phillip DE 6-4 276 12
72 Davis, Tommy DE 6-2 257 1
95 Wilson, Chris DE 6-4 240 1

Assuming Andre Carter isn't going anywhere, and hopefully we all agree this is a safe assumption, who needs to go?

You don't need to cut anyone until well into TC. It would not hurt to bring him in as a FA, and see what happens, just for the shot at a nice, feel good story. If it doesn't happen, what is lost?

Today, I have no idea. That's what camp is for. Huntley, Davis & Buzzbee are unproven. Daniels is old. Evans will never be anything more than a backup. Those who play best make the team.

I liked Buzzbee last year. I hope we give him a chance. Granted he always played late game so it was back-ups vs back-ups, but I hope they give him a solid look this year.

Of course give him a chance. Give every candidate a chance. That doesn't mean we shouldn't bring in other players who show promise.

I meant that some some players in training camp get condemned before it even starts. Just pointing him out specifically.

Speaking of specifics, how do the masses think Westbrook's going to do this camp?

him donning the B&G is a feel good story within itself... Even if it's only in training camp, or practice squad.
