Vic Carucci on the NFC East--and other news
From NFL.com, his comments on the state of the NFC East. Here's what he said about the Redskins:

Most influential offseason moves: As the most aggressive shoppers in free agency, the Washington Redskins enter training camp with high expectations, especially on offense. Of the four free agents they plucked from the New York Jets, two -- receiver Laveranues Coles and guard Randy Thomas -- figure to immediately help improve the league's 20th-ranked offense last season. So does Trung Canidate, an ultra-fast running back with big-play skills that the Redskins acquired in a trade with St. Louis.
The Redskins loaded up on offensive talent, yet have a huge question mark at quarterback, the position likely to determine whether they will receive even a satisfactory return on their mammoth investments. Patrick Ramsey enters camp as the starter, even though his passer rating was only 76.1 in five starts last year. The Redskins are counting on the upgrade to the supporting cast to go a long way toward making Ramsey a better quarterback. The alternative is Rob Johnson, an unaccomplished veteran on his third team in three seasons. The Redskins also face a major challenge trying to replace their best defensive player, tackle Daryl Gardener, whom they lost to Denver in free agency. They hope they can find a starter after this summer's competition between Dan Wilkinson and free-agent newcomer Brandon Noble, from Dallas.

The large man, Len Pasquarelli, has some news, too:
Look for the Washington Redskins to complete the revamping of the college scouting department next week. One familiar face already in place, however, is longtime NFL defensive coordinator Foge Fazio, who will serve as a part-time consultant, ESPN.com has confirmed. Fazio, who served one season as Redskins' linebacker assistant (2000) and who "retired" from the sidelines after the 2002 campaign with the Cleveland Browns, will do some in-person scouting and plenty of video review for vice president of football operations Vinny Cerrato. He will also scout preseason games and compile reports on veteran players as well. One possibility to join the Washington scouting department is former Redskins quarterback Cary Conklin.

+1 - a very thorough makeover by everyone
Apart from some stupid fans, nobody really expects the Redskins to do well - The Redskins need to get rid of Bruce Allen & bring in a new President and GM with the authority to rebuild this franchise
Thankfully, Kirk Cousins is no longer the QB

I am NOT a Browns fan but I do expect them to be MUCH better than last year - they do play in a tough division but I predict they will be better than Pittsburgh
