San Francisco 49ers Signed free agent defensive end Chidi Ahanotu, who had been with the Buffalo Bills, to a one-year contract.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers Released wide receivers Sam Collins and J.J. McKelvey, fullback Earnest Graham, guard Kyle Kipps, kicker Ralf Kleinmann and running back Terry Kirby; placed running back Tony Taylor and cornerback Torrie Cox on injured reserve.

Denver Broncos Traded punter Matt McBriar to the Seattle Seahawks for a 2004 conditional draft pick.
