Today’s Storyline
I Laich it – Capitals center Brooks Laich scored two power-play goals and added an assist last night in a 4-1 win in Boston . Laich’s two goals tied his career-high in goals in a game. The Wawota, Saskatchewan native had a breakout year last season with 23 goals and 53 points, a 16-point increase from the previous season. Dating back to the end of the 2008-09 regular season, Laich now has a pair of two-goal games in his last three games. He has scored six goals in his last five regular season games, and he has 11 points (six goals, five assists) in his last 12 regular season games. |
