Today’s Storyline

Fourth line stepping up – With Alex Ovechkin out of the lineup other players need to step up. Last night the line of Tyler Sloan-Mathieu Perreault-Chris Clark did just that. The fourth line recorded the first goal of the game by Sloan with Perreault recording his first NHL assist and Clark getting his third assist of the season. At the end of the night the fourth line combined for five shots on net, one fight, one goal and a +1 all in more than 10 minutes of work.

They just aren't much when it comes to fights without Brashear.

Yeah, it looked more like a wrestling match than a traditional hockey fight.

I understand why Chris Clark would be hesitant with all the injuries he's had to endure in recent seasons and particulaly the broken pallate, and respect the heck out of him for fighting anyway, but daggone. Laughing
