You know, for just once I'd love our Caps playoff thread to be more than 4 pages every year. Sometimes we don't even reach 3 pages.
Didn't we have the "best overall squad" in the NHL? Didn't our Caps get that memo? They played like they could turn it on at anytime, hasn't that philosophy burned us in years past? Where's the aggresive game that we're so known for? This year's change in how we play really killed us in the end man.
Now, Tampa Bay though.. my gosh, those dudes are awesome man. They came in there with a bully attitude and just gave it to us. They did it against Pitt and they did it to us. Was I surprised? Not really, the East rankings are so misleading because these teams were seperated by like 3, 4, and 5 games (or points rather).. PARITY!
I heard people on the radio calling in asking for Bruce's head...
What do you guys think, is it Bruce? are we just not that talented as we saw our young guns just didn't show up? (Ovie and Baekstrom played their tails off)
We made mistakes like bad line changes, couldn't dribble the puck down the dag gone ice w/out a defender stealing it, one-on-one defense was just disgusting to watch, defense just standing around and some people just watched Ovie go down and get creamed by 2 or 3 defenders and no help.
NOT THE WAY TO ADVANCE TEAM!!!!!
NEXT YEAR I WANT TO GO TO THE EAST CHAMPIONSHIP, LETS START THERE!

| I think there needs to be a change @ HC. He's had his chance and now Boudreau is now confirmed to have the Marty syndrome. He just can't and probably won't ever get it done in the playoffs. TB slapped the caps in the face and kept rolling. I really get disgusted by the teams of DC at times and right now is one of those times. Not only to get beaten in the second round, but to get swept? Yeah, Boudreau needs to go. |
