I am with you here.
Morris is an average speed back with reportedly above average ZBS running ability, but he's got the POWER! With Ryan Torain gone, We need a power back. |
And He Take Pride In His Pass Protection |
With Helu's speed, Royster's consistency and Morris' power and potential as a blitz pick up specialist, is there any reason that Hightower makes this team if he signs here?
I asked earlier for someone to help me understand this pick - help has arrived - I understand this pick. |
If Morris is as good as I hope, Hightower is gone. He was good at blocking but his running in the first 3rd of the season was suspect. |

| Morris reminds me of a slower Ray Rice. He's a short ball of power and balance. |

| It's truly sad, that so few have been able to see the work of Larry Brown... Those who were impressed by Portis as a blocker... would have been awed by Brown. As a running back it's rare to see the incredible body control and balance he had. He was NEVER brought down by first contact. If we should be so privilidged to have another such talent, it would be cause for real celebration. |

how is a guy who never played NT and is undersized and two Rotational - former backups NOt mediocre?
I don't care what Jim haslett tells you. I care how the running backs, particularly at the endof the ear, ran ALL OVER THEM

Anyway, for what it's worth, I give this draft an A++, in respect of the positions that were drafted.
|
a + + huh? gee, ok redskins fan. a++ is like you dating Angelina Jolie. be realistic. the redskins have never had an "a" draft under Snyder..why would it be this time? because they traded away a bunch of high draft picks to select a former wr now playing qb who had a LOsING record until his senior season in his shotgun, 1 read bubble screen offense against weak competion?
owned.

If you'd told me before the draft that we would draft OL, QB, RB, LB and DB, I'd have been delighted. And now I know that's what we DID draft, I AM delighted.
|
I'll agree they drafted the right positions, which is to say many positions, because they holes all over the place. they have one of the weakest rosters in the NFL. but they made a mistake drafting the 2nd qb, they got too smart for their own good, and the 3rd round pick had a 7th round grade on him and the other guard will struggle to make the team.
| Quote: | | I could paint a picture of total failure at this point, or of potential greatness. But the fact is that I don't know, and neither will anybody for two or three years. |
thanks for being the typical wishy washy redskin fan incapable of making a solid prediction.
gee, I dunno, it might b great and might be horrible, we'll just have to wait and see 3 years from now. but I'll give it an A++ grade anyways.
you are a massive failure. owned.

But one thing I do know is that we have POTENTIALLY solidified the quarterback position for a long time. We have two players of great potential but with absolutely no quarterback controversy, unless RGIII sucks until 2014. |
and it only took 5 draft picks! (and now comes the fun part....the part every redskin fan HATES......the actual football games.....hang on to the summer....it's your favorite season every year, offseason champs)
| Quote: |
Shanahan has drafted more o linemen in his time in DC than Vinny could ever imagine. They haven't all worked out, and I doubt that all three that were drafted this year will work out either. But if one of them does, I call that success. |
I gotta put a translator on you because I now realize you happen to be Britains's exporter of crapola.
translating the above: shanahan has drafted a couple of late round lineman, none of whom start, some of barely hanging on to the roster, and is one high pick is one joint away from being kicked out the league for a while and he also let a player go (Reinhart) who graded out as one of the top 10 guards in the NFL last year, drafted by cerrato.
owned. again. |

"Poster": this was for you:

And this:

To everybody else, sorry. I fed it, and it only came back for more. I won't be responding to it anywhere outside Smack again. |

| Doesn't mean that I won't respond in Smack though. After all, the young fella has his own thread there, and it's already full of garbage....... |

Indeed, it's a conundrum, and no mistake Mary Poppins.
Sorry, I'm feeling giddy. |
