I think RGIII will make the team. I also like London Fletcher's chances. :monkey:

I'm kinda wondering how many guys we keep at each position grouping. List with rough guesses and 53 total. Discuss/Fix?

OL 9
WR 7
TE 3
RB 3
QB 3

DL 8
LB 9
DB 8

ST 3

Whattathink?

I think we may keep 4 TEs, and definitely 4 RBs (counting FBs), but I'm not sure where those extra 2 players are conimg out of your numbers. We have to keep an extra QB this year, so that already has us down one spot. I don't see us keeping 9 LBs. Probably closer to 8, and maybe only 7. Probably only 7 DL, too.

Doesn't FB fall under RB? Cool

^ Are you accounting for the FB in your three RBs?

Maybe he doubles as a TE. That's one of the things that makes this so interesting. BB is ST and WR. We have a TE/WR hybrid and a LB who can do most anything. Versatile guys might have an edge. They might allow us to keep someone who won't start but we don't want to let go. BTW - Gano is a very good punter. That's an edge.

Alfred Morris may play both FB and RB if he makes the roster

It will be interesting - like the 8 WRs - excuse me - 7 WRs and a Return specialist that e kept last year.

Here was the scenario for RBs at the start of last year:

3 RBs Hightower, Helu and Torain
1 FB Young

This scenario allowed for 4 TEs Davis, Cooley (Part time FB), Paulsen, Sellers (Back up FB)

This year, I still see us carrying 4 RBs to include one bondafide FB

It might look like this:

Helu - RB, Royster - RB, Morris - RB/FB
Young FB - young has also lined up as a running back.

*This scenario will still allow us to still carry 4 TE's Davis, Cooley (Part time FB), Paulsen, Paul

But the count is still 4 RBS - the way RBs go down I think that you have to have 4 RBs on the roster.

6 WR's
3 QB's
3 RB's
1 FB
2 TE's
9 OL
2 "Other"

26 of 53 spots for the offense leaves 24 spots for the D

I think the players listed below have roster spots, and it's up to them to keep them, some may end up on the PS.

WRs
Garcon
Morgan
Hankerson
Moss
Robinson
Armstrong

QBs
RGIII
Cousins
Grossman

RBs
Helu
Hightower
Royster

FB
Young

TEs
Davis
Cooley

Will play more than one of the positions listed above
Morris (FB & RB)
Paul (FB & TE may also see time at WR)

OL
Williams
Lichtensteiger
Montgomery
Chester
Brown
Gettis
LeRibeye
Smith
Hurt

I like this. Quite a menu, BTW:

I'm Lichting my chops and can't wait to Gettis ahold of that Brown LeRibeye for which I have a strong Hankering. How about some Roysters on a half shell? Ou est le Garcon?

I think that's a pretty solid list, 1niksder. Nice job. I'm definitely in favor of carrying less WRs on the roster if it means depth on the OL.

I really enjoyed Redskin1's mock.

The only changes I'd consider are to who's starting at WR, RB and C. I see Hankerson start opposite of Garcon, a healthy Hightower starting ahead of Helu, and Leriebus taking over the center duties.

In addition, I see Robinson or Armstrong not making the team with the 6th WR position going to Lance Lewis who impressed during the rookie camp. Great hands and height.

Also, I can see Alfred Morris pushing for the 3rd RB spot because he can double as a backup FB. Or he gets stashed on the PS.
