15 pre-Shanahan Redskins remain
| Quote: | Mike Shanahan said yesterday that there are 15 players left on the roster from when he took over the team in January of 2010. That total includes Anthony Armstrong, who was on the Redskins practice squad prior to Shanahan’s arrival, and Chris Wilson, who was with the team from 2007-2010. Wilson did not play in the NFL in 2011 and was re-signed by the Redskins last month.
Two additional players, cornerback Leigh Torrence and fullback Darrel Young, were associated with the Redskins pre-Shanahan. Torrence played in Washington from 2006-2008 before being released. Young spent some time on the Redskins’ practice squad in 2009.
Of the 15, nine play on defense, five play on offense, and Graham Gano is a specialist. |
That's a Re-Build |

| Yes many changes have been made but the world won't give Shanny any credit until we start winning games. I'm pulling for two areas on the team to step up and improve this year. The offense of course and the defensive secondary. |

"The world" will also act like the Redskins came out of nowhere. When the switch happens in terms of W-L results, it will look something like a match igniting. But the work to get to that point has been tremendous — and tremendously done. |

there are few guarantees in the volatile NFL. One of the few is that one of its franchises, the Washington Redskins stay stagnant as a bad to mediocre football team. They have accomplished this in every single season of Snyder's ownership since 2000.
The Redskins haven't earned a single thing from that world other than the appropriate disrepect and general reputation of an offseason-news making franchise. Because that historically is all it has done under Snyder, right up to the present day.
Got a problem with that - talk to your owner. The world's not interested in the opinions of a wimpy fanbase who can't protect its own turf from rival fans while supporting a team that has given the world NO REASON TO CHANGE ITS OPINION. |

It will be interesting to note the take on history through the lens of hindsight by the talking heads and infantile populous when the Skins finish with their turnaround. I just hope when I start laughing in other fans' faces I don't come off looking too much like the Masshole (is that ok?) patriot fans do now.
Well, unless I'm talking to a fan of ttit. Then I don't care how I sound. |

there is no doubt that there will always be fans (especially those in the NFC East) that will point to anything they can to show their mis-guided support
the Redskins are on the way up - the damage done is being repaired
staying there will require continually adjusting & adapting and having the ability to address the issues of age and injury
there is no way that fans of certain franchises (or those that are just anti the Redskins) will give credit where it is due
it is going to be fun to be a Redskins fan again - enjoy the ride
these guys are going to ensure that whomever follows has a good base to continually add to |

bwhahahaha.....yeah like the FACTS of 4 straight last place finishes and an 11-21 record under Shanahan. yeah, everybody's just grasping at straws here.

even though they suck to the point of finishing as the doormat of the division for four straight seasons, they still technically found a way to go DOWN with a worse record in year two under shanahan.
gee....maybe they'll get to a shiny 7-9 record this year......ooooo geez whiz, thatll show me. hahahaha.

and there's no way for redskin fans to understand the concept of PROVING IT ON THE FIELD first, then talk. but then again, it's my fault, sometimes I forget that we are indeed in every redskin fans favorite part of the season: May |

Nor should they. Change is not always progress. They will be judged by wins & losses. |

Just depends on what kind of change is taking place. But yes until the wins start coming then its more the same but I believe its right around the corner. |
