| I know I did today. My goal was to buy a 51 inch plasma...that was before I got to the store. I spent about an hour and a half weighing my options and finally decided on a 60 inch plasma that caused me to go way over budget! I gotta say that a tv this big does take some getting used to! I turned it to nfl network and they were showing some top play replays and yeah, I am sooo ready for football season! So anyone else decide to go out and make a splash this year for a new tv? |

Got a 60" LCD this offseason. Couldn't resist for $800!
Working on setting up a projector. I've got a screen and speakers outside, but that'll only work for night games. Trying to set one up for the living room so I can do both the 'Skins game and Red Zone channel at the same time! |

My roommate works for DirecTV so I get all sports packages, All movies, everything but porn. |

Would that be the 25-year-old hottie?
Got me a HD projector a few years back. Made a screen from drywall and HD paint. Total for all was $450. Screen is 5 feet tall and 7 feet wide.
Really sucks!!  |

| I really don't care for projectors that much. The image seems washed out/faded. And on another note, I am trying to get used to the reflection on my plasma. At times I feel like I am staring into a mirror as it reflects everything in the room. When its completely dark the picture is the best. When it is daytime, though, I can see a lot of reflections that bother me. Anyone else experience this? I may take it back and get the 55 inch LED tv I was looking at just to cut down on the reflection. |

My projection system is in THE CAVE! Zero issues with washout and, of course, reflection. I hooked up my PA for sound. Sports, concerts, and movies are ridiculous. Also doubles as a computer monitor.
ALL systems are helped by a wide black felt border. |

No, I had to kick out the stripper, she owed me money and never paid up. Sucks man, I used to get up to watch Skins games and have to tell naked strippers to move over on the couch so I could sit down. Now that I think about it, less of my guy friends want to come watch the games at my place now... hmmm. |

Here's the breakdown for TV's from what I have experienced. In a well lit room Plasma will glare like no other. Go with LED in a well lit room, LCD glare's a bit too. LCD is amazing for sports (especially hockey), but for a while they never went over 48 inch. Now that they do, LCD is a damn good option for viewing sports. You get the shine from the helmets and very clear definition. The LCD's do however get really hot so if you are a big TV watcher, maybe not the best pick because they will burn out the component inside (I burned out two of them in 3 years). LED can be left on for a long time, low energy usage, good picture quality but just shy of LCD with the 120hz. The absolute best TV though is an LED 1080p 240hz. I upgraded from 120hz. It's pricey, but the absolute best imo. |

I went from an old projection style that only had the filmy type of screen which produced zero glare so it took some getting used to going to a plasma which reflects quite a bit. I am pretty used to it now and is only really noticeable when there is a really dark background on the screen. I have to say that nothing can beat a plasma for refresh rate (600hz) but I am not sure if the human eye can tell a difference between 240 and 600hz. I am just happy that I get to watch our boys play tonight in total HD! |

I've got a 42" LCD that I like a lot, but for years I've always watched Skins games with my dad at his house — and this season will be no different.
He's got a CRT bubble screen, something like 25". The edges of the broadcast bleed off the screen. It can be painful to watch.  But you can't beat the atmosphere.  |
