Shanahan reaches out to refs on safety for RG3

Postby EA7649 » Fri Aug 02, 2013 10:37 pm

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/redskins-a ... --nfl.html

"Last year, officials informed Griffin that he is susceptible to being hit when he pretends he has the ball after handing it off. They encouraged him to raise his empty hands after he releases it."

The entire article is insightful, but that was the most interesting quote I got from the article. When the coach was asking the refs on his quarterbacks protection. And how will he run those plays in the future?

Forgot to mention with that being one of his strengths, hiding the ball when doing play action

He is really good at that. But, seems like his real danger is scrambling.
