My First Murder Trial - Keep Your Fingers Crossed For Me!
On Tuesday, May 11th, I'll be starting my first ever murder trial. Because I've been a prosecutor for only 7 years now, I will not be the lead prosecutor for the case (also known as "1st chair"). I will be "2nd chair", which means I will assist in the prosecution...handle several witnesses...and do a lot of leg work. It's a "non-capital" case which means the defendant is not facing the death penalty. If he gets convicted, he'll be sentenced to life in prison.
Regardless, this is my first one...and I'm looking forward to it.
I'll keep y'all posted on how it goes.
One thing I won't be doing...is asking the defendant to try on a glove!

By the way - watching Law and Order I actually knew all the terminology before you said it, but I understand having to explain things to Puke fans ::grin::

Okay..I'll try to provide updates as we go along.
Started today at 10:00 a.m. and it took us until 3:45 p.m. to pick a jury.
Now that we've picked a jury, we're gonna basically start the "meat and potateos" (my little tribute to Dan Quayle) tomorrow.
