You gotta give it up to Gardner, too. He also had a 100 yard game. I also place honorable mention on David Terrell for being the first man down the field on almost EVERY kickoff.

Terrell is a special teams terror--that's where most of us were first impressed with him, and I hope he really starts paying it a lot of attention. He's got great ST instincts (even if he does still miss the occasional tackle).

Falcon FAN here to say good win!! I'am really disappointed;
and hate our corners. This should also get you battle tested for blitzing teams using the 3-4 and it got us ready to lose any time we face a reciever like Coles. Really at our board
our solace is hard good you guys are!! No crap; we caused some turnovers but you won't give that up often. Hopefully we'll at least hang till Vick gets back; I know he doesn't play defense but he keeps drives alive. we were 1-11 on third down conversions. You guys were the better team and made adjustments at half time. I'am telling you its like our 1998; if your defense holds up you may go further than you thought. best of luck.

Gardner had some decent numbers, but he had stupid penalties and a lot of drops also. No game ball for him. Our coaching staff finally proved their worth though. I was calling for Helton's head in the first quarter, but he made the necessary adjustments, and protected Ramsey well later in the game. George Edwards(with some help from Bruce) had the D fired up, and Spurrier and Jackson made some great play calls. I'm still amazed that we won this game. It seems like we win evey time we get down 10 - 0. It started in the Super Bowl against Denver. It happened against the Cowboys when Aikman fumbled in the end zone, last year against the Rams, two years ago in the rain at Denver, and I'm sure it's happened other times that I didn't notice. Wasn't it 10-0 when Lavar returned the interception against Carolina? I'd like to see this stat looked at.

you're right tx_skins_fan.....everytime we score first or get a lead....we end up getting conservative and losing momentum and the game....that all started with Turner....and I haven't seen it change. However, if we keep this winning attitude, maybe it will.

I know one thing for sure, it would be nice to win a game easily and know we have it won by say mid-3rd quarter....even better if it's against the cowpukes both times this year!

Personally, I think it is the coaching community in the NFL - run it up and you are a schmo - which tells me as a coach (if I could ever acheive that dream) that I should run it up more as these are the guys who are crying "no fair" but then have the great comeback on you cause you listened to the "don't run it up crowd." I just hope Steve learns that we need to score often, fast, and oftener Smile I wouldn't care if they called our team the wh*res of the NFL if we could win 42-6 every weekend because we never let the other team into it.

Good luck the rest of the way Cyril. The Falcons are a pretty good team. I hope you get healthy again so you can be a great team again. Good luck in making the playoffs.
