She's brewin up just outside us in D.C. and I hope it doesn't do to much damage.Do you think it will affect the game on Sunday against the Giants.....

Champ Baileys child goes to my sister's pre-school and he said to her that he left the Georgia coast area to get away from these kind of storms. He was unaware that Northern Virginia even had hurricanes. She said he seemed a little bit worried but who's not, right.Good luck to my fellow D.C. metro area friends and let's pray it doesn't do to much damage.

good luck in va. i'm at ground zero Shocked i'm in greenville nc, we're about 80 miles off the coast. the eye is projected to pass directly over us. these things aren't that bad, they just make a big mess, and it takes a while to clean up. this one isn't as severe as some we've encountered here, and most people here are prepared from experience. i doubt there will be many, if any casualties. as far as when it hits va, it will have lost some umph. will still bring lots of rain, and wind, and will probably have a little kick left. but chances are, by the time it hits northern va, it won't even be classified as a hurricane anymore.(meaning maximum sustained winds are less than 75 mph) again good luck, and stay dry. Wink

I know before the Patsies came to town in the preseason game it rained hard - by the time we got to the stadium, there were guys up in the seats with towels wiping the seats down to dry em off. I must admit, I was pretty impressed.

LOL - I would've sat on a wet seat - it was my first game at the new stadium - it was awesome

On the flag thing - just hold it close to your heart and there won't be a jinx ::grin::

Hopefully SS is making P-Ram and the receivers practice with wet footballs.....IMHO the rain and wet balls is what caused so many problems for the g-strings Monday night

winds are around 70-80 mph here(greenville nc) at 1:00 pm, the eye is about 70 miles away, it's moving steadily, and rapidly. won't be a factor for the game most likely. it's already weakining after hitting the nc coastline, so shouldn't be as much of a threat as it moves north. good luck in va and md.

Thanks to all for the well wishes....so far...we're okay.. the worst is to hit us in a couple hours...then for about 5 hours straight. Right now though...we have power and that's a GOOD THING - we've made brownies and blueberry muffins and now I have a turkey roast in the oven....so we'll eat anyway. Holding the "flag" close to my heart....hehehehe.
