Testaverde losing grip on starting job
Vinny Testaverde could be headed back to the bench. Sources told New York Post columnist Mark Cannizzaro that the Jets could hand the starting job to Brooks Bollinger if the team continues to slide.
No need for Falcons to fire Reeves
Atlanta Journal-Constitution columnist Mark Bradley is hoping that Falcons owner Arthur Blank won't turn into the next George Steinbrenner. Bradley suggests that Blank sit tight and ignore the calls for Dan Reeves' head.
49ers on lookout for more talent
Dennis Erickson is still looking to add some talent to his 1-2 team.The Oakland Tribune's Roger Phillips reports that the 49ers brought in Reggie Austin, Calvin Carlyle, Charles Alston, Michael Landry and Derrick Fletcher for workouts on Tuesday.
Dolphins bring in six for workouts
The Miami Herald's Armando Salguero and Jason Cole report that the Dolphins worked out six players on Tuesday. Miami took a look at Terry Fair, Craig Jarrett, Brian Simnjanovski, Jody Littleton, Jeff Grau and Nate Bolling, but didn't sign any of them.
