WTF!!!!! SPURRIER GAVE UP!!!!!!!! HE GAVE UP!!! OH MY GOD!!! HE GAVE UP!!! I can't believe he put Johnson in. He just said, "Ramsey I do not believe in you..." Did he not see the Colts? Did he not see the score 21 pts in 3 minutes? We give up with over 3 minutes left. This is infuriating!!!!! YOU NEVER GIVE UP IN FOOTBALL! Wut if Pittman fumbles right now with 49 secs. left and we got the ball back? Anything is possible. The Bucs are embarassing this team with less than a min left, they're still playing, but we gave up with 3 minutes and some change.
I've come to the conclusion that its the o-line thats the problem its the schemes. Spurrier is going to be the end of Ramseys carrer. Betts in for blocking Simeon Rice? C'mon now? What did he think it was going to happen.
And the defense? What is Edwards problem? Did he, nor the people upstairs not notice we were scored on 3 times by basically the same play? Is it just me? Did they ALSO not notice that they kept dumping it off to a RB to get 3rd down conversions? Was I the only person screaming at the TV?
This lost hurt. It hurt more than any other. It hurt me because they gave up, I don't know about the rest of you but thats what I expect from my 10 year old nephew when he plays. |

From his postgame quotes, it looks like Spurrier doesn't his OL/other blockers to keep P-Ram upright. I think that is perfectly legitimate. Hopefully, this indictment lights their rear ends and brings in some good plays and safe outings for P-Ram. I thought Spurrier's words were quite forthright and damning!
Here are the words:
I thought we couldn't catch them. He told me he wanted to go back in, but I said, "No, I don't want you getting beat up anymore than you are." Let's rest up and fight another day. So we let Rob [Johnson] go in there and pitch it around a little bit. |

Yea...I see your point, but still. We gave up, thats just something I can't understand, you play to the last whistle.
And I believe the O-line was halfway decent, its the protection schemes. Like I tihnk I said earlier, Betts is not going to handle Rice on his own, I'm sorry, its not going to happen. Samuels huge tail had his hands full, let alone a significantly smaller Betts. |

I gotta agree with learnnew on this one. P-Ram is the future of this team and, the way our O-line was playing, not only did we NOT have a chance of coming back.....there was a good chance that P-Ram might have been hurt if he was to stay in there and throw it on every down.
The Bucs would have definitely keyed on the pass and would have been coming every play.
Kudos to Spurrier, IMHO, for taking out P-Ram. |

| i guess its time for max protection. that'll curtail the offense and the possibilities of big plays. but atleast occasionally we gotta go for max protection. blocking schemes may need big changes but i dunno if you can do much during midseason. |
