Hell, I could get a better rush that what we have this season. I have been throughly disgusted with that group. We need to have strong interior lines or this team will NEVER return to the "glory days".

I knew we would miss Gardner (sp?). We haven't had a push up the middle in a long long time until last year....now we have none. The only way to free up ends like Smith and keep them from being double teamed is to have that push up the middle and force those double teams inside.

the line does suck thats a no brainer, but as I stated in other post we get beat with short dump pass and the line has nothing really to do with that, unless they are Supermen. I for one think and know it is the coaching. My prime example is Marvin lewis has far inferior players in comparisom to LB, JA, JT, but look at his team defense stats. We have the best LB trio in the league. My question is if LBs line up in the middle of the field how come teams throw their? I have the answer :ROTFALMAO: Coaching

I would have to say that when the defensive coordinator doesn't think to adjust to have TEs covered after the first or SECOND time you have been burned with the same play and it is used again to burn you for the THIRD time - maybe George needs to go commit hari kari somewhere and let us bring back Ray Rhodes.

Something to think about - last year - Arrington had 11 sacks - what about this year? Where is the pressure? While the defensive line can get pressure and has at times bent the pockets, we haven't seen an overwhelming rush. George simply seems to have say "Oh well ... do de do de do" and gone back to work without really paying any attention to the problem.

No adjustments = no coaching.

I agree. I would not be complaining but we are into game 7 this week, we have to adjust. The screen has to be stopped! I am no coordinator and I dont watch film but I damn sure no what teams use to beat us. I dont care if he has 6 games or six hundred. He has to adjust. Thumbs Up

Lavar needs more time at DE in pash rush situations for sure. Looks like Lewis may have been right on there. Still too early but it looks like Lavar will def have less sacks this year.

I know we're all flustered over back to back losses but the negativity here is overwhelming. Starting to sound like the WP forum.

A tail whooping on Buff at their house should bring the faith back.

I agree with some that the man hasn't had much in the way of experience, but at the same time how many chances should a team get to run the same plays, i.e. hb wing left pass or hb swing right pass? Let us not forget the three TDs to TE off the same play - and the third time they didn't even switch sides.

I don't say fire him - but someone needs to jack him up a bit and tell him to blitz and provide better coverages that that stupid soft zone he almost ALWAYS goes into. You know the one. All three LB stacked over the middle, 6 yards off the ball, no one over the nose tackle, no one covering the backs out of the backfield and certainly let's NOT worry about those receiver types called tight ends - they couldn't POSSIBLY hurt us.... now could they? Smile

Check this out, if you dont like our comments on obvious things that need to happen in order for our team to win, man press the back button or lets take it to the talk Smack section

Skinroanoke thats all I am trying to say. Some of these fans need to realize just that and stop trying to protect a man who can handle his own and is not doing his job properly.

Now that sounds better. He def needs a fire under his butt. He fell way short by not making the adjustments but I'm sure they gameplanned in the wrong direction all week as well. The players also have to get some of the load. The generals on the field need to sniff a lot of this out too -- they should share the blame.

I'm not sure why you are taking my comments so personally. I'm commenting on a perspective I see all this from...my opinion...that's it. I'm actually agreeing with most said here.

Why are you bothered by the fact that I have a different opinion? Just to have an opportunity to move this to talk smack? Not interested.

All is well. I thought you wanted to shootout. The only problem I am having is what I am saying is facts not just and opinion. If we stop the sreens we stop the screens if we stop the dump off we stop the dump offs.

Hey woo? Are you trying to tell me they didn't gameplan for Dilger - one of the better receiving TEs in the league at this point? Why not keep that plan in play when another TE comes in? I mean - they didn't have ANYONE on the TE AT ALL - that isn't blown coverage - that is bad coaching.

The one play - the third - the one they drew up on fox, explaining how he got in - what they don't understand is that there should have been people over there for each of the players who were receiving types, each with an assignment. One LB to cover two TE, one WR and a RB out of the backfield? S'yeah... right. What a recipe for disaster, and yet if that is the way they lined up to play defense - Edwards should have seen it and called a TO if it wasn't right. If it was right - bad show George. If they just played way wrong - whoof - change the system cause they are not gonna understand it if it is that rough to learn it.

This is where I disagree. The real facts IMO are:

1) We got burned by the same play three times by TB and blew the game

2)
Quote:
SkinsNFL TEAM RANKINGS AT A GLANCE
OFFENSE DEFENSE
Points/Game 21.3 (13rd) 24.5 (25th)
Total Yards/Gm 342.2 (12nd) 311.2 (15th)
Rush Yards/Gm 107.5 (16th) 103.8 (15th)
Pass Yards/Gm 234.7 (7th) 207.3 (18th)

Those are the facts IMO. Not the best in the league in D stats but not the worst.

If we were 0-6 I would have to look at this differently but were are 3-3. Another fact.

I know GE has work to do but I get this feeling that if we had tried harder to seriously gameplan against the superior TB coaching staff and (some) players to stop the short game....we would have got burned time after time for long yardage.
