Can Joe Bugel turn things around for this shrinking Redskins offense?

Most definitely if he is permitted to make the changes he sees fit. I hope no Burgandy tape gets in his way either.

I think they will find out... I watched the NFL Films special on Gibbs, but I think that Pettitbon and Bugel were some of the reasons behind the discipline. It will be interesting to see who the Skins sign today if any.

It's really hard to say. I am not sure if I like the "Consultant" approach to addressing coaching aspects of the team. I know in the corporate world, consultants were the guys brought in to fire folks. It's got to make Kim Helton/John Hunt feel a little uneasy - which may not be a bad thing.

Will have to see how it plays out - I sure hope Bugel can instill some of the work and play ethic so representative of the original HOGS.

absolutely, but by when? My guess is it'll be too late for our season and Spurrier's tenure.

I like the move, but my outlook is still "guarded". One person can't come in a move mountains! Let's hope they begin to improve a little each week. If they can do that, instead of getting worse each week, I'll be happy.

but is it too late? Shouldn't SS or DS have noticed that they needed the extra help in the offseason? Particularly on the defensive side after losing our DC?
