A day after he questioned his players' competitiveness and threatened to ``go out on the street to pick up guys who will play hard,'' Steve Spurrier backtracked to his same old refrain.
Maybe that was an on-the-moment thought to get our guys' attention,'' said Spurrier, reflecting on his Sunday comments. ``We need to change some people, but there's not a lot of changing we can do right now, to tell you the truth. If there is a spot or two, we possibly could do that.
``But this is our team. Somehow or other, we've got to get our guys excited to play again. That's the challenge we've got to do.''
Blah, ba blah, ba blah, blah, blah....same ole, same ole
He needs to cuss out a few reporters and show someone that he's pissed. That he hasn't come close to meeting his objectives at this level and that if in fact this continues, that he will walk away. I'd respect him much more for that than just the same ole "aw shucks, we don't know what to do...guess we need to coach em better"!  |
